One Effect

The earth's temperature is rising every year and ice at the poles may begin to melt. This will raise see levels at the South Pole or floating on water like at the North Pole.

When water is in the form of ice, it takes more space than water. Ice floating on water would make see levels higher than when the ice is melted.

The Arctic Ocean ice cap is shrinking in summer to the smallest, it has ever been in modern size. In winter the cold has not been refreezing it as extensively as before. The sea ice is habitat for the polar bear, penguin and seals so if it is melted, these animals will not find a place to live.
